Our History

1959 The National University of Mongolia, the Institute of Economics, and the Faculty of National Economy have started training the first specialists in "Industrial Economics".

1959 Lecturers from the Department of Philosophy, History, Politics and Economics of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the National University of Mongolia have started teaching social sciences in the academic field of civil engineering.

1967 Continued to graduate Engineers and Economists at the National University of Mongolia.
1968 Engineers and economists are trained for 5 years programs.

1969 On July 17, 1969, the Polytechnic Institute was founded within the National University of Mongolia, and the Department of Industrial Construction, Transport Economics, Organization and Planning, and the Department of Political Economy were established. The Faculty of Engineering and Economics intentionally included the Department of Industrial Management, the Department of Branch Economics, the Department of Political and Economic Sciences, the Department of Higher Mathematics, the Department of Philosophy, the Department of History, and the Department of Physical Education. 

1982 In 1982, the Polytechnic Institute was separated from the National University of Mongolia and became an independent school. Three academic departments of Philosophy, History, Politics and Economics were established with about 30 lecturers and three assistants. 

1991 With the successful establishment of the Engineering Training Center under the auspices of the Technical University, the management sector has been reorganized and operated with departments of management, foreign languages and mathematics.In 1991, school started training of business management specialists with bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees. 

1992 The School of Computer Science and Management  named under the auspices of the Technical University. 

1992 The Department of Political Science and Economics is disbanded, merging the Departments of Philosophy and History into the Department of Social Sciences. 

1996 The Department of Business and Industrial Technology Management was reorganized in the field of management.

1997 Bachelor's degree in production, finance, marketing, information technology and information system management. 

1997 The school began enrolling its first students in the field of “Social Welfare”

1998 Opened a bachelor's degree program in Public Administration Management. 1998 The first enrollment was made in “Cultural Studies”.

1999 Launched a new undergraduate program in “Human Resource Management”.

2000 A new undergraduate program in International Business and Public administration has been launched.
2000 In 1997, the Department of Social Sciences became a part of the School of Basic Education of Engineering. Due to the transformation of the Mongolian Technical University into the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, the School of Basic Education Engineering was renamed the School of the Humanities. The newly established school has a new structure: the Department of Social Welfare-Philosophy and the Department of Cultural Studies-History. 

2001 The first bachelor's degree in "Information Systems Management". 

2002 Launched a new bachelor's degree program in "Small Business Management".

2003 Opened a new major in “Tourism Economics and Management”. 

2006 Launched a new master's program in "Regional Economics". 

2006 The management sector is transformed into an economic sector.

2007 Prepared for the e-learning course and obtained the copyright for the PM503 Productivity Research and Analysis, PM509 Technology Development Management, PM510 Quality Analysis and Control, and SB501 Innovation Management courses in "Production Management" .The master's program in "Production Management" has started with distance learning.

2008 On January 1, 2009, the School of Humanities was renamed the School of Social Technology.

2012 Became a member of ACBSP for International Accreditation and successfully defended its preliminary report. 

2012 Master's program in Business Administration and Human Resource Management is accredited by the National Council for Program Accreditation. 

2012 A new master's program in "Property Valuation Management" has been launched. 

2013 ACBSP, an international accreditation organization, accredited 6 undergraduate and 7 graduate programs in Business Administration.

2014 The Management Department of the School of Computer Science and Management of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology merged with the School of Social Technology to form the School of Business Administration and Humanities.

2015 Submitted the second stage report to ACBSP International Accreditation. The 2015 "Tourism Management" undergraduate program is accredited by the National Council for Program Accreditation. 

2016 A "Psychological Center" has been opened and is operating at the school.

2017 The Business Administration program from theEDUniversal Association has moved from a quality "One Leaf" category to a "Two Leaves" category.

2018 “A Memorandum of Understanding was signed with Bahçeşehir University, a branch of Bay Atlantic University. 

2019 The School of Business Administration and Humanities of the University of Science and Technology celebrated the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the "National School of Management" on September 27, 2019. 

2020 The Department of Social Sciences has opened a new major in “Organizational Psychology” and made its first enrollment for bachelor`s and master's degrees.

2020 The Public Administration and Social Work programs are accredited and certified by the National Council for Education Accreditation. 

2020 At the 23rd regular meeting of the Academic Council of the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS), the Department of Humanities became a member of the Academic Council.
